2. Information We CollectZero Note is built with data minimization in mind. You do not need to create an account or provide an email address or phone number to use the Service.A. Encrypted User Content (Notes)Notes created using Zero Note are encrypted on your device before transmission.
- Encryption: Notes are encrypted client-side before being sent to our servers. We do not hold the decryption keys. Only you and the recipients you share the link with can decrypt and access the content.
- Storage: Encrypted notes are stored temporarily on infrastructure provided by Cloudflare.
- Deletion: Notes are permanently deleted when their configured self-destruct conditions are met or after the default 30-day retention period. Once deleted, they cannot be recovered.Because of this architecture, we cannot read or access the contents of notes.Only the information strictly necessary to operate the Service is readable by our systems. This may include operational metadata such as expiration times, view limits, or location restrictions required to enforce the rules you configure for a note. The contents of notes themselves remain encrypted and cannot be accessed by us.B. Functional Metadata (Optional Features)If you choose to use certain optional features, we may collect minimal information necessary for those features to function.Examples include:

- Technical log data is retained only for a limited period necessary to maintain service security and reliability.Once deleted, information cannot be recovered.

- the configured self-destruct conditions are met, or

No Expectation of PreservationDue to the temporary and self-destructing nature of Zero Note, users should not expect that notes or related data will be preserved, retained, or recoverable.We do not guarantee the availability of any note for any specific period of time and are not responsible for the loss of information resulting from automatic deletion or self-destruction features.
10. Location-Based Access FeaturesSome notes may be protected by location-based access conditions.These features rely on device hardware and third-party services such as GPS, Wi-Fi positioning, and operating system permissions.We do not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of location data and are not responsible if a note cannot be accessed due to:
